Community impact is deeply integrated throughout the fund management and investment process to drive enhanced outcomes of investments and authentically serve communities. We measure, manage, and help to enhance the societal impact of borrowers, with the aim of strengthening the community investing field’s capacity to eliminate barriers to opportunity. The Impact team works cross-functionally across Broadstreet to help us deliver on our mission.

Broadstreet is committed to using impact data to inform investment decisions. By evaluating the anticipated impacts of our investments, our impact rating tool enables us to incorporate impact data into the diligence process. The rating tool framework contains specifics yet generalizable questions and indicator, so comparisons across sectors is possible.
Broadstreet has invested in or deployed:
- 52 projects or companies serving BIPOC communities
- 70 projects or companies contributing to wealth-building in low-income communities
- 61 projects or companies with projects that have positive racial equity impacts
- $400M in capital to clients claiming we have significantly increased their capacity to invest in strategically addressing the needs of underserved communities
